If you purchased a store from Shopify.com and you have a domain name with us that you would like to connect to it, follow the steps below to learn how.
How to connect your domain to Shopify store
Follow the steps below to connect Shopify to a domain
1. Log in to your Client/Billing
Login to your area at Tasjeel from this URL -> https://my.tasjeel.ae/login by using your e-mail address and password. In case you have forgotten your login details, please refer to the following article.
2. Go Domains Tabs
Once logged in, click on the orange Domains tab and onto the next page, choose the domain name you would like to edit.
3. Configure DNS
From the next page, click on the Configure DNS entries tab:
4. Set up Your DNS
In the DNS manager, add the following settings:
- Host name – YourDomain.ae.
- TTL – leave as default
- Type – A record
- Value – 23.227.38.65
Then click the Add Record button to add the A record within the DNS manager.
We need one more record added:
- Host name – www
- TTL – leave as default
- Type – CNAME record
- Value – shops.myshopify.com
Once this is completed, click Save Changes at the bottom and you are all set!
Also, you can only have one A record associated with your primary domain. If your domain is already associated with an A record when you edit your DNS settings to point your A record to Shopify’s IP address, then remove the old A record.
